Specialized Disaster Preparedness

Specialized Disaster Services
Preparation Matters!

Since health issues do not cease in times of crisis or, more specifically, during a hurricane, Alzheimer’s Community Care has taken the lead in disaster preparedness for our local patients and caregivers. Our organization has worked diligently with local and state leaders to assist with the special needs of this vulnerable population.

How does Alzheimer’s Community Care prepare for storm season?

Staffing the Special Needs Shelter

Our professional staff and specially trained volunteers work in the local shelters to ensure that people struggling with Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders are properly cared for. For more information, please visit Palm Beach County's Emergency Management and download the Disaster Preparation for Special Needs brochure.
