This program is required for Certified Nursing Assistants in every 2-year license period, required for Nurses every third license renewal, required for Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors every biennial license period, and elective for other disciplines.

This course addresses prevalence of domestic violence and the various types of abuse and those at greatest risk, relevant legislation, the “cycle of violence,” perspectives of victims and of law enforcement, and strategies for assessing evidence of abuse and guiding victims to resources.
