This course is approved by Florida Department of Elder Affairs and meets the education requirements for administrators and staff working with dementia patients in the home, at assisted living facilities, in long term care facilities and in skilled nursing facilities.

  • Validation as the preferred means of communicating with a patient with AD or related disorder
  • Theories/approaches for reducing one’s risk of developing AD
  • Various ethical considerations relating to the care of patients

Q:  How do I register for a training?
A:  You may register online here or by calling us at (561) 683-2700.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and checks.  All registrations must be pre-paid; we cannot accept payment at the time of training.

Q:  How much does the training cost?
A:  The cost for an individual to attend is $50.00. 

Q:  Where is the training held?
A:  The training is held at Alzhiemer's Community Care, 800 Northpoint Parkway, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33407.  We will meet in the second floor conference room, accessible by elevator.

Q:  Is lunch provided?
A:  Lunch is not provided.  There are several restaurants nearby. 

Q:  What is the attire?
A:  Please dress comfortably.  The room will be cool; you may want to bring a sweater.

Q:  What documentation do I need to show when I arrive?
A:  You will need to bring a photo I.D., a receipt of your payment and an original copy of your occupational license.

Q:  When should I arrive?
A:  Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the training.
