Alzheimer’s Community Care just recently completed our Impact 100 funded project, ““Knowledge is Power: Dementia-Specific Care Training,”. The goal of this project was to educate nursing students in dementia-specific care, through classroom and practical training at Alzheimer’s Community Care’s Specialized Alzheimer’s Day Care Centers in Palm Beach County. This unique project promotes a community-based model of care that advocates for patients and focuses on the needs of both patients and family caregivers. All Impact 100 grant funds were allocated towards training, targeting nursing students in colleges and universities in South Palm Beach County.
