Karen Gilbert serves as a Vice President for Alzheimer’s Community Care. She is a Certified Alzheimer’s disease trainer from the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. Karen completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2019. Karen received her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York and holds a Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Karen L. West Palm Beach, Fla. – Alzheimer’s Community Care is pleased to announce that Alzheimer’s Community Care’s Vice President of Education and Quality Assurance, Karen Gilbert, has earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University.

 

Dr. Gilbert prepares and presents educational programs addressing Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders for the Organization’s staff, family caregivers, law enforcement, as well as for numerous colleges and universities. Since 2014, more than 500 undergraduate and graduate nursing and allied health professions students, over 100 internal medical residents and more than 1,100 law enforcement personnel have received this training.
