Alzheimer's Community Care names Dr. Jill Shutes as new VP of Cmmunity Care Services
JILL SHUTES NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNITY CARE SERVICES

West Palm Beach, Fla. – Alzheimer’s Community Care has named Dr. Jill Shutes, APRN as its new Vice President of Community Care Services.
Prior to joining Alzheimer’s Community Care, Dr. Shutes worked as an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Graduate Nursing Program at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, FL.
Dr. Shutes has over 20 years of experience as a Geriatric nurse practitioner working mainly in Long-term care, Assisted Living and Skilled nursing facilities throughout South Florida.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Shutes holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rutgers College of Nursing, a Master’s degree in Nursing from University of Massachusetts, Lowell and a Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.
About Dr. Jill Shutes
Dr. Jill Shutes is a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and has worked in Palm Beach County for over 18 years. Prior to serving in the role of Vice President of Community Care Services, Jill was an Assistant Professor in the Doctoral Nursing program at Palm Beach Atlantic University as well served as a Primary Care Provider to homebound elderly with House-Calls Inc. Jill has worked in numerous Long-Term Care, Assisted Living and Independent Living facilities throughout South Florida since she moved here in 2001. Prior to her position at Palm Beach Atlantic University she traveled across the country educating professional organizations on the iNTERACT program which was created to Identify Early Changes in Condition for those suffering with neurocognitive disorders in order to prevent (re)hospitalizations. Jill will continue teaching as adjunct faculty at Palm Beach Atlantic University as well continue to serve on the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty (NONPF) Special Interest Group Gerontology and serve as the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Chi Phi Chapter President. Jill holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Rutgers College of Nursing, a Master’s degree in Nursing from University of Massachusetts, Lowell and a Doctoral degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University
