Alzheimer’s Community Care respects the privacy of its donors and is committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. We are committed to protecting your privacy when visiting our website. The agency does not share, loan, trade, rent or sell donors’ personal or contact information to any other organization, nor do we send mailings on behalf of other organizations.
All donors receive a letter of thank you, acknowledging the amount of their gift. This letter informs donors how greatly Alzheimer’s Community Care values their support and also acts as their IRS receipt. Donors are added to agency mailing lists for the quarterly magazine, upcoming events and general fundraising efforts, unless otherwise requested by the donor. Donors are recognized in the quarterly magazine, and in the programs of special events for which donations have been designated. The wishes of donors who prefer to remain anonymous are respected.
Alzheimer’s Community Care has electronic security systems in place to protect donor payment and personal information. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is among the best available today for secure commerce transactions. The online donation process occurs in a secure portion of the www.alzcare.org website. Submissions are encrypted and secure from outside users.
Alzheimer’s Community Care’s records, including donors’ names, addresses, donation amounts and any other identifying information is maintained in a confidential environment at our offices, with access to such information given to authorized staff and/or volunteers only. Alzheimer’s Community Care does not collect non-personal identifying information such as IP addresses and does not use “cookies”.
If you voluntarily provide personal identifying information through online forms, Alzheimer’s Community Care will collect and retain this information. However, we respect your privacy and recognize that you may wish to limit the ways in which we contact you. To remove your name from Alzheimer’s Community Care mailing list please send us an email and provide your full name, mailing address and a sentence requesting removal from our mailing list. To review or correct your personal information with Alzheimer’s Community Care, please provide your name and a sentence requesting a review or a correction.
Alzheimer’s Community Care does not make personal identifying information gathered on its website available to other organizations, but may share information with business partners in the usual course of business. For example, Alzheimer’s Community Care may utilize a third party vendor to distribute the quarterly magazine. These business partners are obligated to use this information only for the purpose directed. Alzheimer’s Community Care does not control the privacy policies of other organizations who may have a link on our website.
In the event a special court order, judicial order, or other legal government order for information is obtained by Alzheimer’s Community Care which requires release of donor information, Alzheimer’s Community Care will comply with all such court, judicial or government orders and written communication will be provided to that donor which will include a copy of the court, judicial or government order, as well as copies of documents sent in response.
