This course focuses on defining delirium and identifying its impact as an often-missed diagnosis. Course content identifies the populations at greatest risk for delirium and the factors that both increase risk and can mitigate risk. Strategies for healthcare workers and patients’ families for reducing risk of delirium and for routine screening for emerging symptoms are discussed.
