Specialized Disaster Preparedness

Health issues do not cease in times of a crisis and, more specifically to Florida, during a hurricane. Alzheimer’s Community Care has taken the lead in disaster preparedness for its local patients and caregivers. The organization has worked diligently with local and state leaders to assist with the special needs of the areas most vulnerable population.

A disaster supply kit may save your life. Disaster kits ensure that you and your family have enough essential supplies when other resources may not be readily available. Different families have different needs, so residents need to be sure to take into account their family’s specific needs. In order to serve those who work and utilize Alzheimer's Community Care, the organization utilizes social media to notify the public of hazards, emergencies and safety information in addition to traditional forms of notification.
